SALT LAKE CITY -- A full day of classes designed to fill the needs of those with family history callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is scheduled for March 23 as part of the RootsTech Conference at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
An article in last week's religion section incorrectly named Thursday as the full day of free courses.
While there are free LDS family history courses both Thursday and Friday, the full-day session with presentations by church general authorities is set for Saturday.
Among those presenting that day are:
* Elder Paul E. Koelliker, of the First Quorum of the Seventy.
* Elder Allan F. Packer, of the First Quorum of the Seventy.
* Elder Bradley D. Foster, of the Second Quorum of the Seventy.
A link to register for the free courses, and to review the schedule of events, is at rootstech.org/fhcallings.
The courses are designed for family history consultants, center directors and indexing directors, stake presidents, stake high councilors assigned to temple and family history, bishops, high priests group leaders, elders quorum presidents, relief society presidents, young men and young women presidents, primary presidents, young men quorum and young women class presidents, Sunday School presidents, ward mission leaders and ward missionaries.
